Coming from Serbia, Nataša Prljević is a cross-disciplinary artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.  Her paintings, videos, and installations use collage and assemblage principles to explore the mechanisms of real and imagined sites of memory. She holds MFA from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and BFA from Academy of Arts Novi Sad, Serbia. In 2014 she was awarded the Rackham International Student Fellowship/ Chia-Lun Lo Fellowship at the University of Michigan and in 2015 she was Dedalus Foundation Master of Fine Arts Fellowship in Painting and Sculpture nominee. She works at Residency Unlimited where she has administrative and curatorial role supporting national and international artists and curators in their professional development in New York.
